It’s a beautiful read with so much more beyond broken Knight, proving love isn’t simple it’s worth every ounce of blood, sweat, and tears. She uses Knight and Luna as a beautifully constructed paradox of love and value of the fight that makes it worth the struggles. Shen uses juxtaposition of motherhood in a motif which digs its way into the reader’s heart, and the recovery is one you won’t walk away from easily. Knight Cole and Luna Rexroth are part of the many dualities Shen weaves into this prose of genius. Broken Knight touches every theme related to love: Love is fickle, Love is strength, love is family, love is friendship, love is nature, love is nurture, love is evil, love is broken, love is forever, and so much more.
